The W.M Keck Science Department of Claremont McKenna, Pitzer and Scripps Colleges (three of the five undergraduate Claremont Colleges) in Southern California, seeks to hire a full time, visiting assistant professor in biology for the Fall 2021-Spring 2022 academic year. Successful candidates will be able to teach in the introductory biology sequence (spanning basic concepts in cell and molecular biology, plant and animal diversity, ecology, and evolution), vertebrate physiology, and/or a general biology course for non-science majors. Participation in directing undergraduate research projects may be possible. The position is for a one-year appointment with the potential for renewal.
A Ph.D. in biology or related subject and prior teaching experience is preferred.
