The Department of Biological Sciences at Eastern Illinois University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in Animal Physiology, beginning August 2018. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, and postdoctoral experience is preferred.
Candidates with research focus on disease biology and/or cellular metabolism are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded research program involving both undergraduate and graduate students. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses in animal physiology, molecular/cellular biology, and a graduate course in the candidate’s area of expertise.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications, and a competitive start-up package will be available. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required.
